Advertising Terms and Conditions

As a result of feedback from our members the Association has a number of rules for accepting advertisements in the Gazette, as noted below.

• All businesses advertised in 'The Gazette' must be based in Petts Wood or be conducted primarily in Petts Wood and should provide a non-mobile phone number.
• Advertisements will be inserted into the Gazette strictly in the chronological order in which they arrive on the waiting list.
• Advertisements will normally be ¼ page, presently costing £16.00 per month.
• Advertising rates will be reviewed annually with any changes being advised in writing in advance.
• Advertising will be for periods of six months, payable in advance.
• Invoices will be issued two months prior to the first month of the advertising period.
• Payment will be due no later than the settlement date, which will be clearly shown on the invoice.
• Interest will be charged at the rate of £5.00 per week, or part thereof, on all overdue payments. The Association also reserves the right to withdraw the advertisement, under written advice to the advertiser, in favour of another business.
• Outstanding advertising fees including the month of withdrawal plus interest charges will still be due for payment and invoiced separately.
• A charge of £20.00 will be made for setting up the art work for each advertisement and for all amendments to existing advertisements.
• The termination of advertising will require notice of at least six weeks prior to the first day of the month that the advertisement is no longer to appear.
• It is the published policy of this Association not to endorse any product or service supplied by any business or individual advertising in our Gazette. We realise that from time to time a member of this Association may experience a problem with one of our advertisers and in that eventuality it is our policy not to become involved and to recommend that they direct their complaint to the business concerned. However we also recognise that an advertiser could be the subject of a number of complaints in which case the Association reserves the right to withdraw or refuse to renew the advertisement where it is felt to be in the best interests of our members.
